3rd May, 2005: The Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce and area groups will begin their celebrations on the National Small Business (NSB) Week today. The festivities are part of their annual salute to the NSB Week.

There are talks, seminars and award functions lined up as part of the celebrations. Many eminent personalities from the world of small business will be felicitated during these celebrations.

The celebrations began today at the Chamber's ' Conference Center'. The Chamber's Chairman, David Sher, shared his success stories with the participants. There were also other members from the small business fraternity speaking on the occasion.

They spoke on the topic - Business Success: A Three Ring Management Feat.

The Chamber's Manager of Small Business Programs, Prentiss Hill, stressed the importance of recognizing the role that small businesses play in Birmingham.

Celebrations also include an invitation-only reception that will feature past winners of its small business awards. The Central Alabama Women's Business Center will present a seminar.

The celebrations will conclude with the Chamber's '21st Annual Small Business Awards Dinner'.
